The Workaholic Days
You know, it's funny how we sometimes miss the obvious things in life.
For the longest time, I never realized just how much nature could impact my well-being and help me hit that much-needed reset button.
Back in the day, I was constantly on the grid. Since I started working in 2009, it felt like I was always "ON." Exhausting doesn't even begin to cover it.
I remember a friend in Australia advising me to take a break every three months. She said it helps you stay true to yourself in this constant grind of work and life.
Ignoring the Signs
At that point, I was a different person – career-driven and a total workaholic.
I never felt the need to take a break or reset. I was on a high, driven to achieve things, and I thought everyone should relate to that feeling. Crazy right, but thats what I believed then.
The Forced Pause
But life has a way of throwing curveballs, doesn't it?
Some incidents in my life forced me to take a break. Surprisingly, it coincided with the Covid pandemic.
Maybe it was the universe's way of telling me to slow down. I hadn't even realized I was burning out due to personal issues.
Rediscovering Connections
That year of reconnecting with family, cousins, and the beaches in Goa opened my eyes to the importance of taking breaks.
I had this awesome little buddy who helped me embrace my true self. I also got to spend some quality time with my little munchkin—my nephew deserves a mention too! And his immense love for beaches. Sharing some of the clicks.
It was like a breath of fresh air I didn't know I needed.
A New Chapter in Germany
As they say, life goes on. Fast forward to 2022, and I found myself in Germany with a new job, and a new place to explore.
It was a pleasant surprise to see how seriously people take work-life balance here. And Munich? What a beautiful place to explore nature and connect with it in different ways!
Mountains vs. Beaches: A New Love Affair
I always thought I was a beach person, but living in Munich has sparked a newfound love for mountains.
The calmness you feel while trekking, taking one step at a time, exploring the unknown for a breathtaking view – it's incredibly enriching. Words can't do it justice.
Eibsee: A Slice of Heaven
I visited a place called Eibsee, and let me tell you, I've never seen a more peaceful place in my life. This spot left me speechless. The calmness, the beauty – I just fell head over heels for it.
The Nature Reset
Looking back, it's strange how I never realized the importance of nature for my well-being.
Now, I can't imagine not having that connection to reset and recharge. Whether it's the mountains, lakes, or just a quiet spot in the woods, nature has become my go-to for finding calm amid life's chaos.
The Wake-Up Call We All Need
You know, looking back on this journey, I can't help but wonder:
how many of us are running on autopilot, missing out on the reset button that's been right in front of us all along?
Nature isn't just pretty scenery – it's like this incredible, free therapy session that's always available. Whether it's the rush of ocean waves, the majesty of mountains, or the serenity of a lake, there's something out there for everyone.
So here's a little challenge for you (and honestly, for me too):
When was the last time you truly unplugged and let nature work its magic on you? Not just a quick walk in the park while checking your phone, but immersing yourself in the great outdoors?
Maybe it's time we all take a page from this playbook. Life's too short to be constantly wired, running from one task to the next. What if we made a pact with ourselves to find our own Eibsee, our slice of natural paradise?
Remember, you don't need to jet off to exotic locations or climb the highest peaks. Sometimes, it's as simple as finding a quiet spot under a tree in your local park. The key is to be present, to breathe, to listen to the rhythms of the natural world around us.
So, what do you say? Ready to hit that nature reset button?
Trust me, your future self will thank you for it. Who knows, you might just rediscover a part of yourself you didn't even know was missing.
Beautiful ❤️
